Copy Paste Collection Merchandising
Collection Merchandiser's Copy Paste tool allows you to take the sort order from one collection and paste it into another.
This tool is perfect if you merchandise multiple clone stores, allowing you to sync product sort order between collection.
How It Works
Copy Collection Sort Order
- Click 'Select Collection' under 'Copy Collection Sort Order'
- Select the collection you want to copy. Follow the instructions to copy the sort order of products.
Paste Collection Sort Order
- Open Collection Merchandiser in the other store(s)
- Click 'Select Collection' under 'Paste Collection Sort Order'
- In the 'Paste Export' text field, paste the sort order you've recently copied
- Click 'Check Import', if there are any errors you will be notified
- After checking, 'import' the sort order
Important Notes
Product Handles
Collection Merchandiser uses Product Handles to match products between collections.
Product handles are unique names for your products on each store. For clone stores, these are usually the same across each store.
Make sure these match exactly across stores otherwise products will be ignored. During the 'check import' phase you'll be notified of any mistakes.
Missing Products
When copying the sort order from collection A to collection B:
If a product is in collection A but not in collection B, it will be ignored. It will not be added to collection B
If a product is in collection B but not in collection A, it will be moved to the end of collection B.
